What is LiDAR?
LiDAR, an acronym for Light Detection and Ranging, is an advanced technology used to develop highly accurate, three-dimensional data sets. Wetland Studies and Solutions, Inc. (WSSI) has been using LiDAR data to help our clients acquire survey-grade data for their projects for several years, and has recently invested in a cutting-edge LiDAR system that can be configured for aerial or mobile collection. With our data collection and processing entirely in-house, WSSI continues to provide our clients new ways to see their projects and gather intel for informed decision making.
What Can We Do With LiDAR Data?
Our LiDAR data is always collected and processed by, or under the direct supervision, of a licensed Land Surveyor. As such, we can provide a certified deliverable, ensuring the data is more than sufficient for your project scope.
CivilTraining, LLC is a division within WSSI. CivilTraining, LLC assists WSSI with UAV and Reality Capture training, and we offer new pilot training, LIDAR acquisition, processing, and data extraction training. Additionally, CivilTraining’s involvement within the surveying and engineering professions gives us the unique ability to teach classes based on real-world experience. We understand what it takes to acquire survey-grade data, and we’ll make sure you do too.
